Description

1) Objective

The mission of the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation (MDRT Foundation) is to increase member and industry participation and to give funds to non-profit organisations across the globe. The Foundation’s global grant program aims to build stronger families and communities worldwide. Each non-profit organisation supported by its international giving is sponsored by an MDRT member and a committee of MDRT members chooses annual grant recipients. The mission of the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation is to increase member and industry participation and to give funds to worthwhile charitable organizations throughout the world.

The global grant programs support social service agencies, education and advocacy programs, medical agencies and many other causes committed to empowering people in need.

2) Eligibility

Grants are only awarded to organisations or programs that are non-sectarian, responsibly managed, employ appropriate fiscal accounting procedures, and are classified as 501(c)(3) by the U.S. Internal Revenue Service. For applicants outside of the United States, an appropriate document from your government will be accepted. These organisations may include: (1) programs for youth, senior citizens or at-risk groups, provided they are conducted on a not-for-profit basis; (2) volunteer emergency services, emergency food or shelter groups; and (3) services for people with disabilities and mental health services (including alcohol and drug dependency programs).

3) Location

The Foundation has no defined focus countries and provides grant funding across the globe.

4) Budget

Grant awards range from USD 1,000 to USD 50,000. Award size is typically based on the scope of the program’s impact. Programs that impact one community or region typically received between USD 1,000 -USD 5,000. Programs that expand throughout a nation or multiple countries typically receive USD 10,000 – USD 25,000. Annually, up to three top grants of USD 50,000 will be awarded in honor of a member’s significant volunteer impact with the charity. The annual funding volume is around $1,700,000 for 300 grants.

5) Application

The application for all grant programs is done online via the Foundation’s application portal. The online application requires detailed background on the charity, as well as supporting documents, including the MDRT member endorsement letter. The annual grant application deadline is September 1.
