Description
1) Objective
The Tanzania Development Trust (TDT) is a registered UK charity that has funded development projects within Tanzania since 1975. They currently support community run projects in these areas:
- Sustainable access to water for rural communities
- Small income generation projects, particularly for rural women and youth
- Girls education, particularly hostels for government secondary schools
2) Eligibility
Eligible applicants are international and local non-profit organisations (incl. educational institutions) with a track record of project implementation in Tanzania.
3) Location
Actions can take place in Tanzania (rural Dodoma, Kagera, Kigoma, Lindi, Mara, Mtwara, Singida, Shinyanga, and Simiyu regions of Tanzania).
4) Budget
Grants are usually less than £3,000 and only awarded to projects with clear success criteria.
