Description
1) Objective
The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U.S. Department of Labor (DOL, or the Department), announces the availability of approximately $4,000,000 total costs (subject to the availability of Federal funds) for one cooperative agreement to fund a technical assistance project to increase resiliency of local communities to child labor and/or forced labor in the context of a changing climate in Nepal.
The project will focus on learning and action with the following outcomes: 1. increased understanding of the link between climate change and vulnerability to child labor and/or forced labor risks; and 2. increased implementation of child-centered, gender-sensitive, and socially inclusive climate adaptation initiatives.
2) Eligibility
Any commercial, international, educational, or non-profit organization(s), including any faith-based, community-based, or public international organization(s) capable of successfully increasing the resiliency of local communities to child labor and/or forced labor in the context of a changing climate in Nepal is eligible to apply.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Nepal.
4) Budget
Funding amount ranges up to $4,000,000.
