Description
1) Objective
Save the Children believes every child deserves a future. In Nepal, and around the world, they give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and protection from harm. They do whatever it takes for children – every day and in times of crisis – transforming their lives and future we share. Save the Children expects that anyone associated with it abides by its Safeguarding and other Zero Tolerance Policies.
Save the Children jointly with the NGO Federation of Nepal and the Association of International NGOs in Nepal (AIN) with support from the European Union (EU) is implementing the “Strengthening Civic Space and CSO’s Role at All Levels of the Federal Governance System in Nepal” project. The project aims to create an enabling environment for civil society organizations (CSOs) and civic actors to contribute to an inclusive society, democratic governance, and equitable development in Nepal. As part of this project, Save the Children invites registered CSO networks, coalitions, alliances, and federations to submit innovative project ideas aimed at enhancing civic engagement and promoting democratic values in Nepal.
2) Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must be legally registered CSO networks, coalitions, alliances, or federations. Priority will be given to organizations representing marginalized groups, including women, youth, Dalits, and gender/sexual minorities. Proposals will be evaluated based on their relevance to civic engagement, feasibility, impact, sustainability, organizational capacity, and collaboration.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Nepal.
4) Budget
The selected projects will receive funding of up to NPR 500,000 for an implementation period from April 1, 2025, to June 31, 2025.
5) Application
The deadline for submission is February 28, 2025. Interested organizations must submit both a technical and financial proposal via email to nepal.formalquotation@savethechildren.org. Further details, including the Terms of Reference and Proposal Template, can be accessed through the official links provided by Save the Children.
