Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is to strengthen local civil society organisations’ (CSOs) engagement as actors of good governance and development in India. The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals are:
- Specific Objective 1 (SO1) is to strengthen the capacities of CSOs to contribute to and engage constructively in EU-India sectoral policy dialogue Partnerships, in the framework of the EU-India Comprehensive Strategic Agenda, in the following sectors: clean energy, climate action, resource efficiency and circular economy, water, sustainable urbanisation and digital, and to promote inclusive policies for the welfare of most vulnerable groups (gender and youth, but also people with disabilities, elderly, children, other minorities).
- Specific Objective 2 (SO2) is to promote CSOs’ contribution to sustainable economic growth, job creation, social inclusion and welfare, climate action and sustainable value chains in India.
- Specific Objective 3 (SO3) is to promote CSOs’ contribution to sustainable economic growth, job creation, social inclusion and welfare, climate action and sustainable value chains in the North Eastern Region (NER) of India.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, civil society organisations or a civil society organisation association and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in India.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €9,976,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €1,500,000 and maximum €2,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (75%) and maximum (80%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 15 September 2026.
