Description
1) Objective
The ecosystem profile will be a snapshot of the hotspot in 2025 that describes the state of, and threats to, biodiversity and the capacity of civil society to engage as a partner in conservation. The ecosystem profile:
- Secures broad-based agreement on biological priorities for conservation.
- Describes the main threats to biodiversity.
- Provides an overview of civil society as a partner in conservation.
- Defines CEPF’s investment strategy for a five-year period (2025-2030).
CEPF intends to present the final ecosystem profile to its governing body (the Donor Council) in October 2025. On approving the profile, the Donor Council will also approve a total amount to invest in the hotspot over a five-year period; grant-making will begin thereafter.
2) Eligibility
CEPF will accept proposals from any qualified organization, including NGOs, private consulting firms and universities.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Cambodia, China, Lao PDR, Thailand and Vietnam.
4) Budget
The total budget that CEPF will allocate for this award, inclusive of all taxes, management support costs or other indirect costs, is US$200,000 (two hundred thousand United States dollars).
5) Application
Application deadline is 15 January 2025.
