Description
1) Objective
The general objective of this call for proposals is: To promote female leadership to encourage the participation of girls and women in decision-making in Beninese society. The specific objective(s) of this call for proposals is/are:
- SO1: Women and girls, particularly those in vulnerable situations, position themselves to assume leadership roles capable of making their voices heard and guiding collective actions;
- SO2: Stereotypes, discrimination, and sociocultural norms that limit the participation and leadership of women and girls are combated.
The priority(s) of this call for proposals are:
- to provide women and girls with the intellectual and psychological means to make their voices, desires, and ideas heard in both the public and private spheres in a society heavily dominated by what men think and say.
- involve men and boys and society as a whole so that the environment is conducive to the voices of women and girls being raised in the public sphere but also in the daily lives of each and every person.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Benin.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €3,700,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €1,850,000 and maximum €1,850,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (70%) and maximum (100%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The full application together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 6 August 2025.
