Description
1) Objective
The lists of specific priorities are:
- Strengthening foresters’ skills in biodiversity friendly forest management
- Capacity building on results-based payment schemes for the restoration of biodiversity in agricultural landscapes and implementation of the Nature Restoration Regulation
- Supporting local strategies for an efficient and balanced use of space towards sustainable, beautiful and inclusive neighbourhoods
- Strengthening the fight against environmental crime in the EU and supporting the implementation of the new Environmental Crime Directive
- Participation of consumer organisations and environmental NGOs in the implementation of the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR)
- Circular Business Model Mainstreaming – Boosting the single market for sustainable products and services
- Climate Proof Pollution Alert model: relevant for the Water Resilience Strategy and Zero Pollution geared to transboundary cooperation on water pollution incidents
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible, the applicants (beneficiaries and affiliated entities) must be legal entities (public or private bodies) registered in an eligible country.
3) Location
LIFE projects shall take place in the territory of the European Union Member States plus Ukraine, Moldova, North Macedonia.
4) Budget
Funding rate is 90% and the EU contribution ranges up to €3,000,000. Total funding available is €11,800,000. They want to fund 7 projects.
5) Application
Proposals must be submitted electronically via the Funding & Tenders Portal Electronic Submission System (accessible via the Topic page in the Search Funding & Tenders section. Paper submissions are NOT possible. The deadline is 23 September 2025.
