Provision of Shelter Assistance to Refugees, Asylum Seekers and IDPs in Gedaref state

Description

1) Objective

Outcome Statement: Appropriate shelter and housing delivered for refugees and Internally displaced persons (IDPs).
1. Output Statement: Shelter Provided (emergency, transitional and permanent shelters)

Main Activities are:
• Organise assessment of existing long-term shelters / tukuls in the refugee camps and undertake rehabilitation of the structures that damaged.
• Conduct households visit to the selected families to assess and confirm their eligibility for cash assistance and conduct community mobilization to inform final list of selected and registered beneficiary households who will show up for distribution.
• Carry out needs assessment of households in line with the set criteria and arrange for the distribution of emergency shelter kits. • Carry out assessment of camp infrastructure to determine the needs and arrange for the construction/ rehabilitation works.
• Provide durable tukul-style shelters to vulnerable households.
• Distribute emergency Shelter (tent and ESK) to vulnerable HH.
• Contribute to mapping of rainy season preparedness and response activities and arrange for the construction and desilting of drainage lines and culvert lines.
• Conduct refresher training for shelter committees.

2) Eligibility

Eligibility is limited to NGOs that have country and sector experience.

3) Location

Actions must take place in Sudan.

4) Budget

The grant size is not mentioned.

5) Application

The application deadline is 22 October 2023. A concept note must be submitted online via the application portal. The applications should be submitted through UNPP if not it will not be considered. CSOs wishing to participate in this Call for Expression of Interest must submit Electronic Concept Note (online) using United Nations Partner Portal (UNPP).
