Description

1) Objective

Today, oral diseases affect 3.5 billion people worldwide and it is estimated that 2.3 billion people suffer from tooth decay. Untreated tooth decay in permanent teeth is the most common health condition globally. Unfortunately, most low- and middle-income countries are unable to provide services to prevent and treat oral health conditions. Most oral health conditions are largely preventable and can be treated in their early stages if care is accessible.

The Oral Health International Foundation was created to provide monetary grants to support those less fortunate. Since 1995, the Foundation has supported over 675 grants totaling $5,683,000 worldwide. Together, through the financial support of the Foundation and the dedication of dental professionals, they have enhanced the quality of oral healthcare around the world and shall continue to do so.

Funding will only be considered for the following items:

  • Disposable medical equipment and supplies.
  • Small and/or large instruments.
  • Instrument rental.
  • Lab fees.
