Description
1) Objective
The Slovak Agency for International Development Cooperation, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nairobi, has launched the Call for Proposals for small grants for 2024. The submitted projects must be related to sectors defined by the Medium-term Strategy for Development Cooperation of the Slovak Republic for 2019 – 2023 extended to 2024, namely:
- Quality education (SDG 4);
- Good health (SDG 3);
- Good governance and civil society building (SDG 16, 11);
- Food safety and agriculture (SDG 1,2);
- Infrastructure and sustainable use of natural resources (SDG 6,11,7,15);
- Support for the creation of a market environment (SDG 8, 9).
- Cross-cutting themes must be also integrated into SlovakAid projects and activities. Their implementation is being assessed through integration into projects and activities in each of the above-mentioned six priority sectors: Environment and climate change (SDG 13); Gender equality (SDG 5).
2) Eligibility
The call for proposals is open to registered: non-entrepreneurial (non-commercial) legal entities; non-governmental organizations; local and regional self-government units.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Somalia.
4) Budget
The eligible amount of the small grant is up to 10,000EUR per project.
5) Application
The deadline for submission of the project proposals is 30th April 2024, 2pm. Please note that the project proposals should be sent both electronically to grants.nairobi@mzv.sk and in hard copy to the Embassy of the Slovak Republic: Jakaya Kikwete Road, P. O. Box 30204, 00100 Nairobi, Kenya.
