Description
1) Objective
Interventions include:
1. Farm to Market Alliance (FtMA): a value chain development programme that has been supporting agricultural cooperatives connect to markets, mainly in the maize and beans value chains;
2. Sustainable Agricultural Productivity and Market Linkage Project (SAPMP): an agricultural development programme targeting 12 agricultural cooperatives that were previously supported by the KOICA-funded Rural Community Support Project (RCSP), which aims to build on significant investments in terrace rehabilitation to promote commercially oriented farming; and
3. Home Grown School Feeding (HGSF): an initiative targeting capacity strengthening support, financial inclusion, and improved linkages for 60 agricultural cooperatives to schools for the provision of food commodities (including fresh commodities).
WFP is requesting for proposals from eligible potential partners to strengthen the capacity of supported smallholder farmers under the three above mentioned components/initiatives. Against the above background, WFP is recruiting an NGO to partner to support implementation across the three focus areas.
