Gabon, Sao Tome and Principe
Description
1) Objective
The global objective of this call for proposals is: To contribute to the development of an inclusive, participatory, empowered, and independent civil society and democratic space in Gabon and Sao Tome and Principe, and an inclusive and open dialogue with and between civil society organisations.
The specific objective of this call for proposals is: To strengthen local civil society organisations’ (CSOs) engagement as actors of good governance and development at country level.
In Gabon:
– Social protection and support to minorities’ groups
– Protection and sustainable use of the environment
In São Tomé and Príncipe:
– Support to youth (including civic education)
– Protection and sustainable use of the environment
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as non-governmental organisation.
3) Location
Actions must take place in in the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe and Gabon.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €2,842,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €1,300,000 and maximum €1,500,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (51%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 20 May 2025.
