Description
1) Objective
A strong civil society forms the essential foundation for a healthy democracy, mutual solidarity, and systemic change. That is why we are opening a new grant call under the Stronger Roots program, which aims to support crowdfunding campaigns as a tool for building strong communities of supporters.
They would like to especially encourage smaller, local, or regional organizations to apply. To help them overcome a lack of opportunities, they will be given additional points during the evaluation process. Similarly, they will award additional points to projects that promote, protect, or actively communicate European Union rights and values in their daily work. However, they offer successful applicants much more than just funding. They also provide an expert educational program, which includes:
- Practical workshops for effective campaign planning.
- Individual consultations tailored to your specific project.
- Networking and sharing of best practices across the civil society sector.
2) Eligibility
Eligibility is limited to civil society organisations.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary.
4) Budget
They will support your online crowdfunding campaigns through matching grants. If you raise at least 90% of your target amount from your donors, they will double your proceeds, up to €4,000. In total, they will distribute €120,000 across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, with €40,000 specifically awaiting Czech organizations.
5) Application
You can submit your applications via the Grantys database no later than May 20, 2026, at 13:00.
