Description
1) Objective
The general objective of the programme for this call for proposals is: The sustainable and integrated use of marine resources is improved and stimulates inclusive economic growth. The specific objective of the programme concerning this call for proposals is: The foundations for an effective system for the long-term maintenance of natural capital, biodiversity and marine and coastal ecosystem services shall be established.
In addition, project proposals should be structured around 3 main pillars: Conservation, Blue Economy, Governance.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as non-governmental organisation.
3) Location
Actions must take place in in the islands of São Tomé and Príncipe.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €2,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €1,900,000 and maximum €2,000,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (51%) and maximum (90%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 6 May 2025.
