Description
1) Objective
The general objective of this call for proposals is to support the implementation of the recommendations accepted by Cameroon within the framework of the Universal Periodic Review for the year 2023. The two specific objectives of this call for proposals are:
1) Strengthen the capacities of local civil society in monitoring and data collection; data analysis; reporting; advocacy and external communication so that it is able to support the recommendations accepted by Cameroon as part of the 2023 UPR.
2) Support the establishment of a structural dialogue between civil society and national institutions competent in the field of human rights protection, in order to facilitate the implementation of the recommendations of the 4th cycle of the Universal Periodic Review formulated towards Cameroon.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organization, public sector operator, local authority and (3) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions can take place in Cameroon.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €930,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €450,000 and maximum €465,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (75%) and maximum (100%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 24 June 2024.
