Description
1) Objective
- The global objective of the Civil Society Organisation Lots 1 and 2: To strengthen local civil society organisations (CSOs) capacity and participation to enable them to function as independent actors of good governance and development in their own right.
The specific objective(s) of the Civil Society Organisation Lots 1 and 2: To strengthen institutional, operational and advocacy capabilities of small and grassroots organisations in areas of governance, accountability, inclusivity, and participation in development policy and domestic policies, programme, project, financial management, HR advocacy and sector-specific capacity building including peace and security. - The global objective of the Human Rights & Democracy- Lot 3: To increase protection and promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms, democracy and the rule of law worldwide which is also a key priority of EU’s external action and a pre-condition for sustainable development and for building more inclusive, open and resilient societies.
The specific objective(s) of the Human Rights & Democracy Lot 3: To contribute to the full enjoyment by every one of all human rights, be they civil, political, economic, social or cultural rights, enabling independent civil society actors to operate for the promotion of human rights and fundamental freedoms and empowering them to address gender equality and women empowerment; To ensure better representation of women/youth in institutions, decisions and processes.
2) Eligibility
In order to be eligible for a grant, the lead applicant must: (1) be a legal person and (2) be non-profit-making and (3) be a specific type of organisation such as: non-governmental organisation, public sector operator and (4) be directly responsible for the preparation and management of the action with the co-applicant(s) and affiliated entity(ies), not acting as an intermediary.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Guyana.
4) Budget
The overall indicative amount made available under this call for proposals is €663,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum €200,000 and maximum €233,000. Any grant requested under this call for proposals must fall between the minimum (70%) and maximum (95%) percentage of total eligible costs of the action.
5) Application
The concept note together with the declaration by the lead applicant must be submitted online via PROSPECT. The deadline for the submission is 3 September 2025.
