Description
1) Objective
The Tadamon Grants, part of the IsDB-ISFD NGOs Empowerment for Poverty Reduction Program, aim to empower Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in OIC Member Countries to drive sustainable development and alleviate poverty. With a focus on marginalized communities, the grants support innovative, technology-oriented projects in areas like education, livelihood income generation, vocational skills, and community resilience. The goal is to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing among stakeholders, enabling local CSOs to effectively address socio-economic challenges and improve the well-being of vulnerable groups such as refugees, women, youth, and people with disabilities.
They are looking for civil society organizations, including NGOs and citizen groups, as well as social entrepreneurs and development start-ups, with innovative project proposals that are working in the field of:
- Promoting refugees /IDPs and orphans, women, youth, and people with disabilities
- Basic education
- Vocational training and skills development
- Empowering vulnerable communities through community resilience building (income-generating activities)
- Social exclusion
- Poverty alleviation;
- Climate and Green Energy
- Unemployment
- Building Resilience
2) Eligibility
Eligible applicants include CSOs with a proven track record in development-humanitarian initiatives, focusing on sustainability and community resilience. Applicants must be registered in their respective countries, have completed at least one course in the Tadamon Capacity Strengthening Portal, demonstrate achievements, and be based in one of the specified OIC Member Countries. They should also have a minimum of three years of experience in project delivery, good corporate governance, financial management, and the ability to provide matching funds.
3) Location
The grant is open to CSOs in the following OIC Member Countries: Burkina Faso, Comoros, Iraq, Jordan, Niger, Pakistan, State of Palestine, Somalia, and Yemen.
4) Budget
An indicative allocation of $120,000 is anticipated per country, with each country having one winner awarded up to $120,000. Applicants must provide a matching contribution of at least 50% of the requested amount.
5) Application
To apply, organizations must create a profile on the Tadamon platform and submit their project proposal via email to grants@tadamon.community by January 5, 2024. The application should include a filled-in application form and evidence of matching contributions. Successful organizations will be notified between May and June 2024.
