They are pleased to announce the Toyota Environmental Activities Grant Program FY2020 grantees to support those project activities by any private nonprofit organizations or groups (except any schools). The areas of themes applied to this grant should be on “Biodiversity Conservation” or “Climate change measures”.
Followed by the previous year, they have three categories to be applied: (1) International Project Grant for project activities taken in overseas, for any groups based in Japan or any collaborative groups based in Japan and other countries; (2) Domestic Project Grant for community-based activities in Japan; and (3) Domestic Small Project Grant for community-based activities in Japan, which is granted newly. They fund around 30 projects per year.
2) Eligibility
Private non-profit institutions/organisations are eligible for the grant. NPOs (non-profit organisations), NGOs (non-governmental organisations), charitable organisations and officially unregistered voluntary organisations or groups are also encouraged to apply. They provide grants to projects conducted solely by Japan-based groups or projects that collaborate with Japan-based groups and foreign-based groups. However, activities conducted in collaboration with foreign-based groups and overseas affiliates of Toyota Motor Corporation are eligible for this grant.
