Description
1) Objective
PDS Mozambique invites proposals for programs that strengthen ties between the United States and Mozambique through educational and cultural exchange. All programs must include an American element or connection with an American expert, organization, or institution. Given the importance of and interest in growing English language abilities, this cycle’s priority area is focused on increasing access to English learning.
Examples of successful PDS Small Grants Program programs include, but are not limited to (suggested examples below):
· Academic exchanges and curriculum-based programs;
· Professional lectures, seminars and speaker programs;
· Performing arts workshops, joint performances and exhibitions;
· Cultural conservation projects around areas of shared heritage.
2) Eligibility
The Public Affairs Section encourages applications from Registered not-for-profit organizations, including think tanks and civil society/non-governmental organizations with programming experience; Individuals; Non-profit or governmental educational institutions; Governmental institutions.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Mozambique.
4) Budget
Award amount ranges from $50,000 – $250,000. Expected Number of Awards is 5 awards.
5) Application
All application materials must be submitted by 31 December 2024.
