Description
1) Objective
The UNDP COMDEKS-SGP announces the 2025 “call for proposals” to award small grants of up to US$30,000 under the COMDEKS 4 Programme to non-governmental organizations, civil society organizations and community groups. The purpose of the grant is to further expand and ensure the sustainability of sound biodiversity management, governance, and sustainable livelihood activities with local communities in the Afadzato South socio-ecological production landscape in the Volta Region.
The strategic focus of the COMDEKS 4 grant is to:
- Develop a participatory model of conservation activities in diverse ecosystems.
- Promote activities that could lead to the formulation of relevant national and local policies and strategies (including the implementation of the OECM based on CBD guidelines);
- Implement field activities that could lead to the conservation and management of natural ecosystems and wildlife conservation. and
- Implement field activities that contribute to establishing a circular economy (realization of a decarbonized society, promotion of renewable energy, climate change adaptation, promotion of recycling, etc.).
2) Eligibility
To qualify for the grant award, the applicant must: be non-governmental or non-profit organizations with a legal mandate to operate in Ghana; be community groups/community-based organizations, and social enterprise organizations recognized by the relevant district/municipal authorities.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Ghana.
4) Budget
Grants may range up to $30,000.

The call for proposals is open from the date of this advertisement until 12.00 midnight on December 15, 2025.
