Description
1) Objective
UN Women is inviting proposals from proponent organizations to demonstrate gender-responsive agricultural innovation development and initial adoption of climate smart innovations by women smallholder farmers in Madhya Pradesh as part of the Women Empowered for Climate resilience through Agricultural iNnovation (WE-CAN) project. The selected organization will engage with women farmers as lead farmers to test innovations that can scale adoption of biofertilizers.
UN Women seeks the services of a proponent civil society organisation to work closely in partnership with UN Women and our pre-determined partner to demonstrate gender-responsive agricultural innovation development and initial adoption of climate smart innovations by women smallholder farmers. Specific workstream areas are:
1) Closely engage over two agricultural seasons with 15 women farmers as lead farmers and their households.
2) Work with 50 women smallholder farmers to pilot and test an on-farm biosensor for effective use of biofertilizers
2) Eligibility
The organization must have a minimum 3 years of experience in programme design and implementation. The proponent organization must have experience in agricultural development sector with smallholder farmers.
3) Location
Actions must take place in India.
4) Budget
The budget range for this proposal should be INR 31,00,000 – 37,00,000.
5) Application
Proposals must be received by UN Women at the address specified not later than (time) 17:30 Hours on (date) 07 August 2025.
