Description
1) Objective
The United Nations Women’s Peace & Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) has launched a Call for Proposals in Afghanistan to enhance the protection of women and girls and promote the participation and leadership of women in humanitarian crisis and response.
WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations and innovative, impact-driven projects in Afghanistan through the following funding streams:
- Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD
To reinforce the institutional capacity of local civil society organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda to ensure they are able to sustain themselves and to improve their impact. - Programmatic funding from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD
To finance programmatic activities of civil society organizations that (i) promote the participation and leadership of women in humanitarian crisis and response (aligned with WPHF impact area 3) OR (ii) that enhance the protection of women and girls (aligned with WPHF impact area 5).
2) Eligibility
International, national and local women- led, women’s rights, feminist, or civil society organizations with a proven track record working with women and girls, are eligible to apply. International NGOs are only eligible to apply if they are partnering with a national, regional or local women-led organization. Grassroots and local community-based organizations are particularly encouraged to apply. Joint projects are allowed and encouraged.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Afghanistan.
4) Budget
Funding may range from 2,500$ to 200,000$.
5) Application
The deadline for submission is 9 December 2024. Applications received after that date will not be considered. Application packages must be emailed.
