Description
1) Objective
The Women’s Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Action (WPHF) has launched a call for proposals to support local civil society organizations of women and young people in Colombia in order to improve their active participation and leadership in climate security and justice issues. This call seeks to support projects that improve the participation and leadership of women in the prevention of climate-related conflicts and injustices, as well as in socioeconomic recovery and political decision-making in peacebuilding contexts related to climate security and climate justice. The call is also open to support local women’s and young women’s rights organizations working in these areas through institutional funds.
WPHF seeks to finance local organizations that meet certain requirements in Colombia through the following financing modalities:
- Programmatic financing from USD 30,000 to USD 200,000
Financing programmatic activities of civil society organizations with the objective of: i) Increasing the significant participation and decision-making of women in conflict prevention and response processes (in accordance with WPHF impact area 2) and ii) Improving the socioeconomic recovery and political participation of women and young people in peacebuilding contexts (in accordance with WPHF impact area 6). - Institutional financing from USD 2,500 to USD 30,000
Strengthen the institutional capacity of women’s rights organizations led by women working in the prevention of climate-related conflicts and/or in economic and political decision-making in climate justice and security efforts in Colombia to ensure that they can be sustained and strengthen their impact.
2) Eligibility
International , national and local women- led, women’s rights, feminist, or civil society organizations with a proven track record working with women and girls, are eligible to apply. Grassroots and local community-based organizations are particularly encouraged to apply. Joint projects are allowed and encouraged.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Colombia.
4) Budget
Funding may range from 2,500$ to 200,000$.
