Description
1) Objective
The Women’s Fund for Peace and Humanitarian Action (WPHF) has launched its new call for proposals in Mali to support civil society organizations working to strengthen female leadership in humanitarian responses and crises, and to improve the socio-economic recovery and political participation of women and young women in peacebuilding contexts, as well as to support local women’s and young women’s organizations through institutional funding. WPHF seeks to finance eligible organizations in Mali through the following funding components:
- Programmatic financing from 30,000 USD to 200,000 USD
Provides programmatic funding for CSO projects aimed at (1) strengthening women’s participation and leadership in planning and humanitarian response and crises; OR (2) improving the human rights, safety, safety and mental health of women and girls (in accordance with WPHF Impact Area 5). - Institutional funding from 2,500 USD to 30,000 USD
Provides institutional funding for the restoration and institutional capacity building of civil society organizations working to implement commitments related to the Women, Peace and Security (PSF) Agenda.
2) Eligibility
International, national and local women- led, women’s rights, feminist, or civil society organizations with a proven track record working with women and girls, are eligible to apply. Grassroots and local community-based organizations are particularly encouraged to apply. Joint projects are allowed and encouraged.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Mali.
4) Budget
Grants may range from $2,500-$200,000.
