Description
1) Objective
The United Nations Women’s Peace and Humanitarian Fund (WPHF) launched a Call for Proposals in Syria to support civil society organizations to implement projects focusing on peacebuilding and recovery, as well as supporting local women and young women’s rights organizations through institutional funding. WPHF seeks to fund qualifying local organizations in Syria through the following funding streams:
- Programmatic funding from $30,000 to $200,000
To finance programmatic activities of CSOs aimed at enhancing the social cohesion, peacebuilding and economic empowerment of women and young women in crisis and conflict settings (in line with WPHF’s Outcome on Peacebuilding and Recovery). - Institutional funding from $2,500 to $30,000
To reinforce the institutional capacity of women’s rights and women-led organizations working on the implementation of the Women, Peace and Security Agenda in Syria to ensure they are able to sustain themselves and to improve their impact.
2) Eligibility
International, national and local women- led, women’s rights, feminist, or civil society organizations with a proven track record working with women and girls, are eligible to apply. Grassroots and local community-based organizations are particularly encouraged to apply. Joint projects are allowed and encouraged.
3) Location
Actions must take place in Syria.
4) Budget
Funding may range from 2,500$ to 200,000$.

The deadline for submission is 2 February 2026.
